ADELINA CALDERON PINTORA

Adelina Calderón Ajenjo was born in Reus in 1960. Her devotion to art emerged at a very young age. She studied at the Reus School of Art, the Pere Calderó School in Reus, Gloria Grau's Workshop in Calaféll, and the Associació Pinzéll Trempat in Reus. She has also participated in plein air painting workshops in Asturias.

Her work is inspired by a deep connection with nature and the movement of its elements. She explores the light, texture, and energy of natural spaces through a pictorial expression that combines lyrical abstraction with the power of color and materials.

Each of her works is a dialogue between emotion and balance, where painting becomes a living experience, reflecting the intensity of the artist's inner world and the landscape that surrounds her.

She works with acrylic and oil techniques, and especially mixed media on canvas, to explore the movement of light and materials.

Her painting series reflect a constant exploration of the balance between chaos and harmony, color, emotion, earth and air.

She has participated in numerous exhibitions, including those at Sala Quatre in Reus, Centre de Lectura in Reus, Sala Dart el Circol in Reus, Art Constanti in Reus, Sala Ágora in Cambrils, Sala Garabart in Gandía, and Sala Sant Roc in Valls. In 2022, she was selected to exhibit at the ninth Haegumgang Museum International Art Festival in South Korea.
