The Gallery is organising an anthological exhibition of the recently deceased painter XAVIER RICOMA (Tarragona 1952-2023). Xavier Ricomá's pictorial work is surprising for its singular and fervent expressionism, with a great chromatic intensity, complemented by an overflowing material richness that in its twilights reaches a singular luminosity and a vibrant colouring that make his painting extraordinarily striking. Javier Ricomá used to say that he painted because it came from within him spiritually and never with a commercial objective in mind.

Izquierdo studied art at the Escola d’Art de la Diputació de Tarragona, where she graduated in 1980 with a degree in painting, specializing in applied arts.

The Gallery has included in its 2026 exhibition schedule the work of painter and sculptor Joan Batista Cabre Sendros (JOBACASEN).
Jobacasen was born in Riudoms (Tarragona) in 1952 and has dedicated his entire life to art. He has held more than 100 exhibitions throughout his professional career.
Critics have placed him among the best contemporary painters in the world and have said of the artist that "The joy of living permeates his paintings," and that "His works overflow with joy, adventure, and optimism, alongside confidence and wisdom."
Jobacasen's work stands out for its style, both for the abstraction of its forms and for its brilliant and luminous exaltation of color. All of it is imbued with surreal and magical notes, with only subtle figurative references.
