EDUARD FORTUNY PAINTER


Eduard Fortuny was born in Tarragona in 1950. He studied goldsmithing, painting, sculpture, enameling, engraving, tapestries and drawing techniques at the School of Arts and Crafts of Tarragona.
He began his artistic and exhibition career in 1979, with the watercolor technique and with crafts made with clay, wood, brass and plant materials, later evolving with oil painting, acrylic and also with artistic interventions.
In 1989 he became a member of the Association of Sculptors of Catalonia.
He practices abstract expressionist painting, as well as sculpture, prints, photography, installations and traveling performances of great artistic and philosophical content and of highly recognized quality, which interacts with the viewer creating the special emotions that the artist wants to convey.
He is an active artist who has held nearly 100 exhibitions throughout his career, including those in Tarragona, Catalonia, Madrid and cities in Spain, and especially in New York, Los Angeles, Mexico, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, Cologne (Germany) and Hong Kong.
