EMMA DOMINGUEZ PINTORA

Emma Domínguez was born in Tarragona in 1953.

She is a painter who considers herself academically self-taught.

Her interest in drawing and painting began in her childhood.

From her initial drawings, she moved on to tempera paintings, later moving on to acrylics.

The themes of her works are broad, such as country landscapes, urban landscapes, intimate interiors and portraits. In all of them, she uses a wide palette of colours, always trying to capture the magic of a certain moment with her special perception, style, and sensitivity.

Her style can be considered figurative naive, inspired in part by the school of David Hockney. She is also an admirer of the work of the painter Jaime Mercadé, as a painter of landscapes of the Camp de Tarragona.
