GLORIA GRAU PINTORA

Gloria Grau Ruiz was born in Barcelona in 1965. She studied at the Ricardo Tárrega Viladoms School of Catalan Landscape Painting, one of the oldest art schools in Barcelona. To complement her training, for over ten years she attended courses on art and the creation of different artistic disciplines at the Escola de la Dona (Women's School) of the Barcelona Provincial Council and finally at the Escuela Taller de Arte Figurativo (School Workshop of Figurative Art), founded and directed by Enrique Donoso, a student of Eduardo Naranjo and Guillermo Muñoz-Vera. Gloria's painting style can be categorized as figurative impressionist, and her subjects are frequently exquisite rural scenes of flowers and vegetation framed on distinctive circular canvases. Although Gloria Grau has exhibited in Catalonia and Spain, she has focused her artistic career primarily on the international stage. She has participated in various international art fairs and galleries in the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, Korea, China, the United States, Italy, and Barcelona. She has held numerous solo exhibitions, including those at the Haegeumgang Theme Museum in Dongnae, Busan; the BNK Bank Gallery in Changwon; the Daesan Art Museum in Gimhae; the Yeosu Art Museum; the Yunkun Art Museum in Seoul; the Museum of Culture of the State of Hidalgo, Mexico; the Congress of Deputies in Mexico, in the Hall of the Donceles; and the Get Art Museum in Taipei. In the last two years, she has received 11 international awards and distinctions in South Korea, Pakistan, Mexico, and Taiwan. She has been appointed to numerous juries and presidencies of artistic and cultural organizations internationally, including in Pakistan and South Korea. In Catalonia, she promotes and directs numerous artistic events and festivals, such as La Nit de l'art a Calafell.
