JOSE BEDMAR  PINTOR

José María Bedmar Moya was born in 1968 in the city of Úbeda (Jaén), but at the age of four he moved with his parents to La Canonja, in Tarragona. From a very young age he felt a passion for art, enrolling and studying at the Tarragona Provincial Council's School of Art, where he completed five years of goldsmithing and two years of painting.

After completing his studies, he held his first exhibitions: at the "MERCATS" Cultural Center (Tarragona) in 1992, at the Pong Study Center in Castellví (La Canonja) in 1993, at the "La Nau" Gallery (Tarragona) in 1994, at the "La Vaquería" Gallery (Tarragona) in 1995, at the "Kesse" Gallery (Tarragona) in 1996, in a group exhibition at the "La Nau" Gallery in 1997, and at the "Jaime I" Gallery of the Tarragona City Hall in 2000. These were followed by numerous group exhibitions until 2006, when he exhibited at the Catar Gallery.

In 2009, Jose Bedmar embarked on a new educational path in the field of natural therapies, studying disciplines such as therapeutic massage, Reiki, reflexology, and osteopathy for five years. This training allowed him to develop a deeper and more sensitive understanding of human beings, something he reflected in his paintings. From that moment on, he sought to capture not only physical form, but also the energy and emotional traits of people and landscapes.

Today, José Bedmar's paintings are a reflection of all this, a fusion of art and soul, of form and emotion. In every stroke, the artist attempts to capture not only appearance, but essence, the inner vibration that makes each person and each element of nature unique.
