LAURA ALBERICH
Laura Albérich Lucéa was born in Barcelona in 1961. From a young age, she displayed an artistic talent that led her to study and research ancient painting techniques. She studied at the Orthodox Iconographic Society of Catalonia, specializing in the age-old technique of egg tempera on panel in the Romanesque and Mozarabic styles. Continuing her interest in sacred art and the initiatory path it can reveal, she later attended numerous courses and seminars related to these topics, both within the canonical and mystical traditions: the Sant Jordi Association for the Study of Traditional Arts; Virgil Ani, a renowned Dante scholar; María Roig, a master iconographer; and Miquel Xanco, a Salesian theologian, among others. With this extensive training, she has been a skilled iconographer specializing in the recreation of sacred images for many years. Currently, he combines the recreation of sacred works for liturgical ceremonies with teaching this technique and conducting workshops on symbolism and the hermeneutics of images. Contemplating his work is a true gift for the eyes, but also a valuable source of inspiration for connecting with the transcendent. He has held numerous exhibitions in various regions of Spain, including: the Monastery of Santes Creus, the Monastery of the Holy Sepulchre of Palera, the Patricia Cancelo Gallery in Barcelona, the Monastery of Santa María la Real in Aguilar de Campoo, the Monastery of Las Avellanes in Lleida, the Diocesan Museum of Barbastro-Monzón, the Regional and Diocesan Museum of Solsona, the Basilica of La Seu in Manresa, the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the Cathedral of Barcelona, and the Casa Fortuny in Reus.
