MARIA TERESA RIBE PINTORA

María Teresa Ribé was born in the city of Reus in 1960. Her introduction to art began at the age of 13 in the studio of the artist Montserrat Josa Roca, from whom she learned the concept that painting is a way of giving meaning to color. Later, she studied drawing and painting in the workshop of the painter Pere Calderó Ripoll, who instilled in her the confidence to listen to the unique voice of each work. After a period of time during which her family and work responsibilities took precedence, in 2009 she returned to the art that had never left her heart, with the conviction and serenity of someone who knows she cannot live without creating. She joined the El Pinzell Trempat association in Reus to share experiences with other artists. Since then, he paints unhurriedly, guided by his soul. The silence of his studio transforms into color, and light into emotion. He participates in exhibitions and collaborative projects, allowing his work to speak with the simplicity and depth of someone who paints out of necessity, love, and a desire to capture light. His work flows between the human figure and nature, as if both were reflections of the same essence. His figures often dance, listen, or dream, evoking music, poetry, and life that extends beyond the canvas. He has held numerous exhibitions, including those at the Centre de Amigos de Reus, Sala Vintiquatrena in Reus, Sala Fortuny at the Reus Reading Center, the Reus Art Museum, the Constanti Art Gallery, and Sala Sant Roc in Valls.
